Wisteria formosa 'Enchantment'
Wisteria formosa 'Enchantment' is a vigorous, deciduous climber growing to about 9 m tall with twining stems. Leaves flushed bronze when young. Racemes of pea-like, fragrant, pale blue flowers up to 25 cm long with blue-flushed, white & yellow markings in late spring/early summer. Sometimes followed by bean-like seed pods. Any reasonable moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade. Hardy but needs shelter from strong winds. Loved by bees.
