Thalictrum 'Splendide'

Thalictrum 'Splendide' is a cross between Thalictrum delavyi and Thalictrum elegans resulting in elegant crimson stalks, 6-9ft high, with cloud-like clusters of light purple flowers with attractive yellow stamens over lacy foliage. Extremely floriferous, they become top heavy and may require staking. Long flowering season from June to September. 2.4m x 90cm. Sun or part-shade in moist, well-drained soil. Has a grass-like effect in a border. Dislikes excessively hot Summers.
Do not be put off by the size. As the name suggests, a splendid plant.
