Sedum spectabile 'Stardust' or Hylotelphium (new name) is a hardy, clump forming herbaceous perennial variety. Flat white flower heads from August into autumn are loved by bees & butterflies. Broad eliptical, grey-green leaves on thick stems. Attractive to insects especially bees & butterflies. A compact plant at approx. 45 cm tall x 45 cm so useful at the front of a sunny border or in a pot. Sun in any reasonable well-drained soil except acid. Cut back in spring. The seed heads give shelter to spiders & a variety of other insects that are enjoyed by insect eating birds.
