Polypodium cambricum 'Oakleyae' (Hardy fern)
Polypodium cambricum 'Oakleyae' was found in S. Wales by Mrs Oakleyae in 1868. Looks very like a Dryopteris or Polystichum in habit & fronds look like a lush, ferny carpet. The fronds can be quite narrow at the centre creating a row of gaps along each side of the stalk. Usually evergreen but in very cold winters the fronds can dry on the plant. Dry, well-drained soil in shade. Hardy.
