Mukdenia rossii
Mukdenia rossii is a hardy, deciduous, clump forming perennial mainly grown for its attractive maple-like foliage. Short spikes of creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers with dark eyes are borne above the rich green leaves in spring. Leaves gradually turn bronze-tinted as the season progresses. A slow spreader which dies back to ground level in autumn then new growth appears in spring. A compact plant growing to approx. 40 cm x 40 cm so good in a border, woodland garden or pot. Grow in a humus-rich moist but well=drained soil in part-shade.
