Magnolia soulangeana 'Satisfaction'
Magnolia soulangeana 'Satisfaction' is a compact, deciduous shrub with a bushy habit. Big goblet-shaped flowers are produced in spring. Flowers are white with a strong pink flush on the outside. Flowers later than most of the other Magnolias so flowers are less likely to be damaged by frost. Grows to approx. 2.5 m x 2 m in 20 years. Avoid chalky soils. Any neutral to acid moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade. Hardy but shelter from cold winds.
