Magnolia 'Black Beauty'
Magnolia 'Black Beauty' is a compact, upright growing, deciduous small tree. Mid-green leaves & flowers with purple outer petals & creamy-coloured interiors in spring. Flowers freely but flowers can be damaged by late frosts. Grows to approx. 4 m x 4 m. Grows best in a slightly acid, fertile. moist but well-drained soil in full or part shade. Hardy but needs shelter from cold winds.
