Lonicera x purpusii 'Winter Beauty' AGM is a strong growing, rounded, medium-sized, deciduous shrub with ovate green leaves & sweetly smelling cream flowers occasionally followed by red berries Flowers on bare branches in winter & early spring so lovely in the garden in the bleaker months. Grows to 1.5-2.5 m in 10-20 years. Can grow in any reasonably fertile soil that is moist but well-drained. Can grow in sheltered or more exposed places. Loved by bees. Grow a small Clematis through it for summer interest.
