Eupatorium maculatum 'Riesenschirm' AGM is a superb statement making plant for the back of a border or by the side of a large water feature. Clump forming perennial growing up to 2m with large flattish heads of an abundance of dark pinkish-purple tiny flowers which are a magnet for butterflies and other insects in summer and early autumn. The flowers turn into fluffy seedheads. Thick purple stems create another attractive feature. Not invasive. Moist soil in sun or part-shade.
