Digitalis ferruginea 'Gelber Herold' is a biennial rosette former with slender spires of unusual rusty-yellow coloured flowers from June-Aug. Should self-seed so be careful weeding around the plant next spring. Almost any humus rich soil except very wet or very dry in part-shade. Reaches approx. 1.2 m tall. Loved by insects. A great plant for naturalising & encouraging wildlife.
