Crocosmia 'Ellenbank Firecrest'
Crocosmia 'Ellenbank Firecrest' is a hardy, deciduous clump forming perennial. This excellent variety was bred by Elizabeth MacGregor and was chosen by us on one of our visits. It has flowers that are buttercup yellow inside, fringed and backed with red. Green spiky foliage. Approx. 60 cm tall so is compact. Flowers profusely in late summer. Sun or part-shade in any reasonable, well-drained soil. Good cut flower.
