Calycanthus x raulsioni 'Aphrodite'
Calycanthus x raulsioni 'Aphrodite' is a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub reaching approx. 3 m tall in 10 years. Oval, glossy green leaves turn yellow in autumn. Large, fragrant deep red to purple flowers up to 10 cm across from late spring into summer. Any reasonable moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade. Hardy but needs a sheltered site.
