Acer palmatum 'Koto-no-ito' (Harp Strings in Japanese) is a slow growing deciduous shrub or small tree up to 3 m tall when mature. Bright green finely dissected leaves in spring & summer turn orange & yellow in autumn. Light green bark gives interest in winter. Shelter from wind. Plant out of early morning sun to prevent leaf scorch. Plant in acid to neutral moist but free draining soil in sun/partial shade.
