Hydrangea macrophylla 'Hot Red' PBR is a compact, deciduous, bushy shrub growing to about 1-1.5 m x 1.5 m in 5-10 years. Pink flowerheads darken to red & eventually in neutral soil conditions turn violet. Long flowering from June to September. Slightly serrated green leaves. Any reasonably fertile, moist but well-drained soil in part-shade. Sheltered position. Hardy.
