Hydrangea aspera 'Bellevue'

Hydrangea aspera 'Bellevue' is a large growing variety with leaves up to 40 cm long. Large flowerheads of lilac-blue fertile florets edged with white infertile florets. Originated at Jardin de Bellevue in Normandy hence its name. Any reasonably fertile, moist soil in part-shade. Hardy but needs a sheltered position. Grows to about 4 m x 3 m eventually.
