Cornus kousa chinensis 'Cappachino' can be grown as a shrub or small tree growing up to 3 m in 10-20 years. Leaves emerge bright green in spring darkening to shades of bronze & red as they mature. Turn reddish-orange in autumn. In early summer tiny green flowers appear surrounded by creamy-white bracts up to 8 cm across. Grow in sun/part-shade in well-drained,  fertile soil. Can grow in an exposed or sheltered position. Once established it can tolerate a drier location but grows better in a moist, acidic soil.
