Acer palmatum 'Dissectum' (Japanese maple)

Acer palmatum 'Dissectum' is a low growing, mound forming shrub growing to approx. 2 m x 2.5 m wide. Deeply cut leaves emerge green in spring & turn shades of yellow, red & orange in autumn. Purplish-red flowers in spring followed by by bright red winged fruit. Any reasonable moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade. Hardy but needs a sheltered position.
