Corydalis nobilis (Siberian corydalis or Fumewort)
Corydalis nobilis is one of the largest Corydalis & is reliable in northern climates. Takes a couple of years to establish. Bright yellow flowers with dark violet markings on the top & a spicy fragrance in spring. Up to 40 tiny flowers on each stem lasting 2-3 weeks. Foliage dies down by mid-summer & plant disappears. Approx. 60 cm tall. Sun/part-shade with more moisture in spring & drier in summer. Can be grown in the rock garden or planted between shrubs.
