Achillea millefolium 'Red Velvet' is a deciduous clump forming herbaceous perennial. Strong, pure red flat-headed flowers in summer over a long period. Probably the best red achillea. Green feathery foliage. Approx. 60cm tall. Any reasonably well-drained soil in sun or part-shade. Will flower into autumn if deadheaded or cut back. An ideal plant for a hot border.
