Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum 'Kilimanjaro Sunrise' PBR

Viburnum plicatum f. 'Kilimanjaro Sunrise'  PBR was the Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year in 2015. Whitish-pink lacecap-like flowers on tiered branches of this hardy, conical, deciduous shrub appear in early summer. It is multi-stemmed with average growth but more upright in habit than the species making it perfect for smaller spaces or gardens. In autumn the leaves become fiery colours before falling.  Grows to approx. 3 m x 1.5 m when mature. Any moderately fertile moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade.

Keep pruning of young plants to a minimum. Any vertical shoots that are spoiling the tiered shape of the shrub can be cut back to the point of origin in summer after flowering.
