Agapanthus 'Torbay'

Agapanthus 'Torbay' is a perennial with attractive spherical heads of mid sky-blue trumpet-shaped flowers in July and August. Green strap-shaped leaves. Approx. 60-75cm tall. Full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. In winter, if planted mulch well if planted. Wrap pot or put in frost-free place.

We have had this variety planted out for 3 years.  It has come through the last 2 winters with no mulching or extra protection and rewarded us by being absolutely prolific in its flowering.  From our experience we think that it is the best variety for planting in the garden.

Look good when planted with Agastache, Nepeta, Geraniums for a pastel effect or with Crocosmias, Kniphofias, Monardas for a splash of colour.
