Acer amoenum 'Firecracker' is a dissectum Maple with delicate feathery foliage reddish-purple in Spring & Summer turning bright orange & red in Autumn. A slow growing tree or shrub eventually reaching 3-4 m tall. Deciduous. Hardy. Any reasonably moist but well-drained soil in sun or part-shade. Leaf colours best in part-shade. Protect from strong & cold winds.
