Sedum 'Herbstfreude' (Stonecrop) Attractive to bees, butterflies & insect eating birds

Sedum ‘Herbstfreude’  (Stonecrop) or Hylotelphium (new name)

This Sedum variety is a hardy, clump forming herbaceous perennial with glaucous green fleshy foliage topped with deep pink to copper-red heads of star shaped flowers in late summer/autumn.  Easily grown in any reasonable well drained soil in full sun. Flowers are attractive to bees & butterflies & the seed heads are favoured by insect eating birds. The birds enjoy the spiders & other overwintering bugs that use the Sedum for shelter.
