Sambucus nigra 'Black Lace' AGM is a deciduous shrub growing to approx. 3 m tall. Deeply dissected purplish-black foliage from spring to autumn. Abundant tiny pinkish flowers in summer with a grape scent. Flowers may be followed by purple-black berries. It is hardy & can grow in a sheltered or exposed position. Any reasonable moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade.
