Liquidamber styraciflua 'Oakville Highlight' PBR Recent introduction
Liquidamber styraciflua 'Oakville Highlight' PBR is a new introduction from Australia. It is a narrow, conical tree with bright green leaves that turn shades of red, yellow, orange & purple in autumn. Yellow-green flowers in April-May are insignificant but are followed by seedballs that resemble prickly, woody golf balls. Reaches approx. 10-15 m tall in 20 years. Best in an open position in full sun in any reasonable well-drained soil.
Grown in a very large pot so collection from the nursery only.
