Iris 'Gerald Darby' AGM is a clump forming perennial with arching narrow leaves and unusual purplish stems and purple-stained base leaves making this plant interesting to look at even before the flowers open.  Each stem produces 3-4 purple-violet flowers with white and yellow flashes and dark veining in June - July.  The leaves are often evergreen unless winters are extremely cold. Approx. 90 - 120cm x 50cm. Plant in moist-wet, humus-rich, acid soil, in full sun or part-shade. Thrives at the margins of ponds and streams. 2 litre pot
