Helenium 'Moerheim Beauty' AGM is a upright growing, deciduous, hardy perennial that is rabbit & deer resistant & attracts pollinators. It produces masses of flowers from summer into autumn providing wonderful colour over a long period late in the season. The flowers are a rich, deep coppery-red & surround a prominent chocolate central disc rimmed with gold & covered with golden pollen which attracts butterflies. The flowers are large up to 6-8 cm ( 3'') across. It grows to approx. 90-100 cm x 30-60 cm spread. Deadhead regularly to extend flowering. Good cut flower. Dislikes dry soil & flowers best on more moisture retentive soil in full sun. Mixes well with ornamental grasses & is excellent for naturalistic, meadow & prairie planting.
