Geranium 'Rozanne' PBR Attracts bees, butterflies & other pollinators

Geranium 'Rozanne' was introduced some years ago & won the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Centenary. It was a well deserved winner partly because it is an easily grown plant, low maintenance & flowers from early summer through until October. The large, saucer-shaped violet-blue flowers with white centres are nectar & pollen rich & are up to 5 cm across. They grow above mounds of slightly marbled deep green leaves. Grows to approx. 60 cm x 80 cm & is a reasonably fast grower. In rich soils it can spread quickly once it is established. If necessary trim back in late June. Cutting back will also encourage it to flower for longer. It is good for under planting under roses or other shrubs or for filling gaps in the front of the border. It can be planted in the ground or in a pot. It is tolerant of most soils except for waterlogged soil. It will grow in any position-sun, dappled shade, full shade, part-shade in any reasonable soil.
