Euphorbia griffithi 'Beauty of Orange' (Spurge)
Euphorbia griffithi 'Beauty of Orange' is a hardy herbaceous perennial growing up to approx. 90 cm tall x 60 cm. An attractive plant with a good combination of bronze-green leaves, deep dark red stems & emerging orange-red flowering bracts from April-June which fade to a warm, lighter orange or even ochre-yellow in later summer making this an interesting plant to add to the border. Will grow in any reasonable soil in sun or part-shade. Grows better on clay soils than on sand. A good cut flower. Wear gloves when handling as the milky sap can irritate skin & damage eyes. Toxic if ingested.
