Epimedium leptorrhizum
Epimedium leptorrhizum produces very large pink flowers in spring and early summer. It's evergreen foliage make this a good plant for ground cover. Approx. 15-30cm x 45cm (8-12" x 18") . Best in a sheltered situation in moist, humus-rich soil and part-shade. Lovely in woodland situations or the shady border.
Companion planting could include white or blue flowered Anemone blanda or spring flowering Anemone nemerosa, Brunnera, Omphalodes or Hellebores. Dwarf tulips and narcissi would also combine well to make an attractive spring corner in your garden.
