Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postill' AGM

Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postill' AGM is another one of our favourite plants.  It is one of the best plants for perfume in the garden especially as it flowers early in the year around January/February time.  The sweet scent also drifts on even the slightest breeze.  Clusters of small deep pink buds open to be followed by purplish-black berries. Eventual size approx. 4 m x 1.5 m spread.  Upright growing evergreen. All parts of plant are toxic if ingested.  Full sun or part-shade in humus rich, reasonably drained soil.  Shelter from cold north and east winds especially when young.

4 litre pot  Collection only

Lovely in a mixed border next to a path so that the fragrance can be appreciated.  Can be underplanted with Cyclamen coum in pink or white.
