Baptisia 'Vanilla Cream' is one of the Decadence series. It is a deciduous,clump forming herbaceous perennial with erect stems & blue-green leaves which emerge bronze in spring. Very floriferous producing creamy-yellow pea-like flowers from purple buds in summer followed by black seedpods in autumn that are attractive to birds in winter. Approx. 1 m x 1 m. Attractive to butterflies. Resistant to deer/rabbits. Well-drained soil in sun in any position. Can tolerate poor soils & drought conditions when established. Hardy.
