Acer palmatum 'Phoenix' is a deciduous, broad-leaves shrub or small tree reaching 5 m in 10-20 years. Palmate leaves emerge pink with yellow-green veins turning yellow then green & orange, yellow & red in autumn. Sheltered position. Any reasonable fertile moist but well-drained soil in full/part-shade. Hardy. If necessary prune in late autumn to midwinter.
