Acer palmatum 'Deshojo' Japanese maple
Acer palmatum 'Deshojo' is an upright, deciduous shrub up to 2.5 m tall. Bright red leaves in spring fade to green in summer turning scarlet in autumn. Small reddish flowers in spring. Easily grown in any fertile, reasonable moist but well-drained soil in sun/part-shade. Best leaf colour in part-shade. Sheltered position.
