A terrestrial evergreen fern bearing shuttlecocks of lance-shaped, 2 pinnate shiny dark green fronds covered with golden hairs when they unfurl. Pinnate lobes are oblong-ovate and have spiny toothed margins. Approx. 60-80cm x 90cm. Well-drained, humus-rich fertile soil in full or part-shade. A beautiful fern when the hairs are caught by the light in spring.
