Herb

Genus: Mentha

Species: x piperita f. citrata

Cultivar: 'Lime'

An attractive vigorous upright form of mint with dark green foliage and purple flowers in summer. Ideal for growing near paths or patios for its pleasant lime fragrance when rubbed and brushed against. Plant in rich moist soil in sun or partial shade. Ideal for pots or tubs. Leaves may be used in fruit salad and summer drinks. Approx. Ht. 60cm. Mint is invasive, so if planting straight into the garden, it is advisable to sink a large bottomless container into the ground and plant the mint into the centre, to inhibit the spread.
