Green, cylindrical leaves with purple globular flowers in summer. Best grown in rich, moist soil in a fairly sunny position. Leaves and flowers have a mild onion flavour. Leaves are a good culinary herb. Cut flowers when they are fully open before the colour fades for use in salads and sauces. Approx. Ht. 30cm.
