A taller growing clump forming deciduous herbaceous perennial ideal for the back of the border. Upright stems with deep-blue hooded flowers in midsummer. Approx. 1m tall. If planted in a sunny, open site in reasonably fertile, moist soil it doesn't need staking. Not usually eaten by slugs or rabbits. Good for cutting but foliage may irritate skin. Poisonous if eaten.
