Dicentra spectabilis 'Valentine'

Dicentra spectabilis 'Valentine' is a recent introduction producing heart-shaped flowers of cherry-red and white over attractive grey-green fern-like foliage.  New emerging foliage is attractively bronze-tinted.  Flowers over a long period on this clump forming, hardy herbaceous perennial.  Approx. 75cm x 75cm when mature.  Best planted in moist soil in part-shade.  If grown in more sun soil must be moist at all times and foliage may turn yellow in sun.
