Cornus alba 'Aurea' AGM

Cornus alba 'Aurea' AGM is an attractive shrub with soft golden foliage from spring into late summer. The foliage doesn't burn in strong sun. It gradually tales on a lovely red shading in autumn. In late autumn and winter new shoots turn bright red providing interest until spring when the new leaves emerge. Ideal to brighten up a dark area in the garden. Full sun and moist soil.

After 8-10 years can reach approx. 2-2.5m x 2-2.5m. However it is best pruned in spring down to 30-40cm each year to keep it a reasonable size and obtain the best colour.
