Watsonia pillansii

Watsonia pillansii produces from summer to autumn branched stems of tubular bright orange to red-orange flowers to 5cm long over green sword-shaped leaves. Approx. 90cm x 30cm. Light, well-drained soil that does not dry out in summer in sun. Protect with a dry mulch in winter if frost is likely. Ideal in a shelterd border by a wall or in a container that can be kept frost-free over winter.
