Synthyris missurica var. stellata

Synthyris missurica var. stellata is a little woodlander with bell-shaped violet-blue flowers in spring surrounded by sharply serrated bracts.  Foliage is heart-shaped, rounded and hairy.  Approx. 15cm (6") tall.  Best in shade in humus-rich soil.

Ideal for a wild flower or naturalistic area or in any shady border or rockery.
