Cercidiphyllum japonicum AGM is a lovely tree for the smaller garden or border. Attractive purplish-green foliage in summer changing to its autumn colours of pink, red and golden. An unusual feature is that the fallen leaves smell of caramel. Lovely grown as a specimen or mixed in the border or woodland setting. Approx. 20m x 15m. Any reasonably fertile, humus-rich soil in sun or dappled shade(not too limey).
