Rudbeckia triloba produces hundreds of small deep golden flowers with brown centres for almost three months from late summer into autumn. A taller grower at approx. 90-100cm x 60-75cm but plants can be given the Chelsea chop in May ( cut plant back by a third to a half) and plant will be shorter and more bushy and flower later. Remove dead flowers to encourage repeat flowering or leave some to seed for the birds to eat. Well drained soil in sun. Attractive to insects.
Looks attractive when planted with grasses and will self-seed to naturalise an area.
