Mentha suaveolens

Mentha suaveolens

Oval, hairy mid-green leaves with mauve flowers from summer to autumn. Gets its name from its scent. Prefers moist, well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Ideal for tubs and pots. More subtle than other mints, so is good in cooking. Approx. Ht. 60cm. *Mint is invasive, so if planting straight into the garden, it is advisable to sink a large bottomless container into the ground and plant the mint into the centre, to inhibit the spread.*
