Stipa gigantea AGM

Stipa gigantea AGM

Stipa gigantea AGM is an evergreen clump forming perennial producing beautiful oat-like flowerheads in summer through into autumn. Tend to sway in wind rather than break. Approx. 2.5m x 1.2m. Well-drained soil in sun. Cut off flowerheads at base when required but do not cut the evergreen base, just tease out dead leaves in spring. Seedheads look beautiful if caught in evening sun. Use in a mixed border or as a speciman plant.
