Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' (PBR)
Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' (PBR) is an extremely attractive smaller shrub ideal for a container or the border. Feathery new growth is red especially in spring turning green as it ages. but as new foliage is constantly growing the shrub has red leaves throughout spring and summer.
White flowers are produced in summer. Foliage also colours in autumn before leaf fall. A long season of interest on a small shrub. Approx. 1m tall. Moderately fertile, reasonable soil in sun. This has been one of our best selling shrubs over the last two years.
Would look good underplanted with miniature spring flowering bulbs such as crocus, snowdrops or daffodils. Also long flowering Geraniums such as 'Rozanne' would provide a lovely contrast as the shrub grows larger.
