Astilboides tabularis

Astilboides tabularis ia an architectural clump forming perennial with rounded green leaves and panicles of plume-like white flowers in early and midsummer. A tall grower at approx. 1.5m x 1.2m. Cool, moist humus-rich soil in partial shade preferred. Makes quite a statement near an area of water or in the boggy larger border.

The leaves can be used for flower arranging.  It could be kept smaller by growing in a large container.  Mix compost with water retaining gel.
