Aster divaricatus

Aster divaricatus

Aster divaricatus is one of our favourite Asters.  It is a deciduous clump forming herbaceous perennial covered in a profusion of small white starry flowers on nearly black stems in autumn. Approx. 60cm x 60cm. Sun or part-shade in any reasonable soil. Aster divaricatus is not too big for the smaller garden providing a lovely area of interest later in the year.

Looks good planted with Actaeas(Cimicifuga), Heleniums, Rudbeckia, Eupatoriums and Veronicastrums depending on your colour spectrum.
