Sambucus nigra f. porphyrophylla 'Eva' (PBR)
Sambucus nigra f. porphyrophylla 'Eva' (PBR) produces an attractive dissected dark mahogany almost purple foliage and pale-pink flowers emerging from creamy buds in June. Also produces red berries in autumn liked by birds. Grows to approx. 3m x 2m but can be cut down to the base each year if wished to keep in bounds and produce good coloured foliage.
Can be grown in part-shade but best colour is obtained in full sun in any reasonmable soil. A good variety for a long season of interest.
